Will & Alden: Fall Engagement Photos in the Rain | Shenandoah National Park
Shenandoah National Park | Big Meadows | Rain Engagement | Fall Engagement Photos
Three of my favorite things all in one spot… a couple in love, the fall colors, nuzzling each other in Shenandoah National Park. Please tell me it doesn’t get better than though. OH WAIT, subtract the mountain views and give us rain…. now THAT is one heck of an engagement session!
You might have seen Will & Alden on my other social media platforms from their colorful rain engagement (as seen below) and their even more colorful wedding! Today though, I’m throwing it back to their fall engagement photos because how can you not explore these beauties and hide them from the world?
As most people who are familiar with Shenandoah, the park itself is known to have it’s own mind when it comes to weather. One mile you might have clear skies and then suddenly you’re in a dense fog like you see in most of the pictures below with very little to view. As much as I wanted to show off the beauty for Will & Alden’s engagement, we decided playing in the rain was what was in store and we went with it! Snuggling under clear umbrellas, playing with pumpkins in the back of her car & just letting ourselves get drenched as we wandered through Big Meadows. It simply was like no other session I had photographed. Yes, I’ve photographed in the rain before, heck I got married in the rain myself but… Shenandoah National Park has never looked prettier in a dark setting and these are by far my favorite fall engagement photos to date!
From the colors to the creativity it took to make this rain engagement truly an experience, I want to hear your opinions! So tell me, was it their umbrella shenanigans, pumpkin snuggles or blanket wandering that caught your attention the most?
