A Winston-Salem Wedding | Footnote at Foothills Brewing | North Carolina Wedding Photographer
Being nestled in southwest Virginia, the drive to other states isn’t that far. In particular, North Carolina is just a 2-3 hour drive away to have a change in scenery! This couple in particular was from Roanoke, Virginia but were transferred to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for Megan’s job. We met through previous ABP brides and when it came time to have a photographer for their marriage journey, the travel didn’t stop me!
For their engagement session, we chose to explore Quarry Park in Winston-Salem where we hid from the wind & watched the glowing sun reflect off the water below us. It was absolutely breath-taking (see more of their engagement session here). I was sad we couldn’t get closer to the edge but, safety first… and fences haha! What was supposed to be a one hour session ended up being two hours and I had to tell myself to stop taking pictures. There was an instant connection between Megan, Jeremy & my camera.
The day finally came though to become Mr. & Mrs. Ritter. Their intimate wedding was the first I had ever photographed in a coffee house, yes you read that correctly, a coffee house! How freaking awesome is that? From the modern design inside the venue to the flowing greenery that accented throughout the day, their vibe can definitely be labeled as a classy industrial wedding! We knocked over floor-lit candles and wandered the streets of North Carolina just to make memories we know we all won’t forget. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Ritter on successfully standing out & throwing one heck of a party!
