Virginia Family Photographer | Sunset Maternity

What’s the saying, “you are glowing” when you’re pregnant? Well Kaila put a whole new meaning into the pregnancy glow during our sunset maternity session we swapped with each other!

While this isn’t my first time photographing another photographer, it is my first time meeting Kaila and let me tell you what, she should be a model! While traded time back and forth throughout the sunset, she immediately knew what to do when it was her turn in front of the camera compared to my nervous wreck of a self. We laughed, we traded stories, we talked about our love for the Lord and we instantly became friends! Like, how we live minutes away from each other and haven’t met was a shock to us both but motherhood does some crazy things and I’m beyond excited to share this journey with her and see what her sweet baby boy will bring to her life!

You all know me and my love for the Appalachian Mountains…. so we started our maternity session in front of that panoramic view but Kaila mentioned the crape myrtles down the hill were in bloom so we ventured our way down there. LET ME TELL YOU WHAT… I was completely blind at first when I saw those trees because they were in the middle of a parking lot but this girl had a vision and that vision blossomed! She too is a Virginia family photographer and understands that while some locations are hidden gems, some of the best of locations is in the middle of parking lot! I could go on and on about our session but what I want you to take away from our time together is this… pregnancy is a beautiful journey and friendships don’t have age limits or timelines. All you have to do is be kind and love others!
