Joe & Lauren: A River Gorge Engagement | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Last fall, Joe & Lauren were basking in engagement bliss and gearing up for their wedding. As part of their photography package, they chose to do an engagement session and boy oh boy did we have perfect weather! We started at with green leaves to compliment their purple accented outfits as we journeyed our way down to the gorge for an epic sunset. With piggy back rides, a bunch of laughter and lots of climbing, I couldn’t help but fall in love with their sweet chemistry.

Venturing through the low but rushing cold river waters, we were able to capture the warm glow and dance as the sun fell into the shadows. For a moment, it felt like we were the only people on Earth. Living on the East Coast, we are fortunate to experience all four seasons and I have to say, fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains never disappoints. While their engagement session was before the leaves peaked, you can still see the leaves changing slowly as we made our way down to the river gorge. Matching their October 2018 engagement, these two said I do October 2019 and are officially Mr. & Mrs. Axelson. Want to see their wedding? Stay tuned!
