David & Alexandra: A Sunset Proposal | Wharf District Pier | Washington DC Wedding Photographer
It was all planned out, almost down to the minute.
David had planned an entire scavenger hunt around downtown Washington D.C. for the love of his life to experience before the final question. With the help of some of their closest friends, he placed balloons and cards at some of their favorite spots, ending at the Wharf District Pier at sunset. Things went as planned (minus a bum trying to steal one of the cards earlier in their route) but, she made it to the Pier and it was "go time"! Sitting on a swing was her final note and then moments later, David made his way down the pier & got down on one knee. From there, they displayed the purest frozen smiles anyone could see! They were accompanied by their friends who had helped David throughout the entire day for drinks, appetizers & we finished up our trip on Pearl Street. It was cold, but it gave us a reason to snuggle up & get cozy. I think it's safe to say, it was a well executed proposal.
Congratulations David & Alexandra on your engagement! As I've mentioned before and I'll say it again, every moment of my 8-hour trip to D.C. was worth it for these moments!
The moments that become stories to share for a lifetime.
